Absolute Catastrophe came out of the womb with their V's up. They have been producing anti-authoritarian work and committing seditious acts since 1989. From transforming road signs with vinyl text messages of positivity and calls for rebellion to the recent body of Mortem Ad Monarchia commemorative china and stamps; their work uses simple intervention onto the everyday.
This latest series of prints reveal the content of a public-spirited act, where 50 hand stamped 2ps and 20 similarly modified 50ps were introduced into the South West currency stream, via pubs, corner shops, laundrettes and hipster coffee houses. This is the first time that their work, through documentation, has been offered for sale.
